Prof. Emmanuel Katongole

Emmanuel Katongole is Professor of Theology and Peace Studies at the Kroc Institute, University of Notre Dame.

Before joining in 2013, he taught at Duke University and co-founded its Center for Reconciliation.

He has authored several books, including Reconciling All Things (2008), The Sacrifice of Africa (2010), Born from Lament (2017), The Journey of Reconciliation (2017), and Who Are My People? (2022).

He is co-founder and President of Bethany Land Institute in Uganda and an extraordinary Professor at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.

A Catholic priest of Kampala Archdiocese, Uganda, he was ordained in 1987.
